took my CLK430 to the track today! pics!

CLK430, K&N filters, magnaflow exhaust. 19x10s in the back.

best time out of 4 runs( its been over 3 years since ive been at the track)
1/4 14.837
97.152 MPH. launched at 1,800 RPM

which i think SUCKS!

The track is at sacramento CMI raceway. has anyone got better times than i did with the same modifications? for some reason, my car felt very slow at the track, ESPECIALLY when launching. enjoy!

haters crazy
A bird in the sky just told me that if you gimme your wheels you will run better times! The one time I tracked my car I ran consistant 14 flats at 100mph on bald tires. My intake tube had fallen off and was sucking hot air. Fastest time of the day 13.9 I wasnt happy with it, maybe I should have been!

CLK 320
If your traction control is is on that will effect your times. I have the evosport ignition and a cool air intake in my 320 and ran just under 15 (14.95 I think, I have my ticket at home). I couldn't get it under 15.2 with the control on. You probably already know this, but you also should take all the unecesary weight out of your car (spare tire and such) unless you have a babyseat, cause that's just funny.

It's the 19's that are hurting your performance.

Try running on the stock 17s.
Take out the spare.
Clean your fuel injectors (maybe use Redline F1 cleaner, or Chevron Fuel system cleaner)
Put octane booster in your tank on track day
'Reset' your car's computer by disconnecting the battery (black cable for 1 hour), before reconnecting it. I notice the car is a lot more responsive after you do this.

I heard 14.8-14.9 is pretty typical for a CLK 430. Perhaps you can get 14.5 with these changes, especially with the rims! 19's really hurt the speed.

P.S. Have you taken your car to the dyno?? Mine laid down 245 hp at the wheels, when I first got it.
