Hey,

Can anyone tell me if this would be a good purchase for a someone with basic DIY skills and who is eager to take on more?

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Also can anyone comment on that code reader? any info would be greatly appreciated. Also there is this one i'm not too sure if it would be any good condidering the price?

Also just wondering does anyone have repair manuals hard or soft copy that they would want to share/sell?

Thanks

Hey indy,

i would do some research on those manuals. Also how far do you want to go with computer diagnostics? I bought a scanner and I do ALL of my work on my 01 430. Just purchasing a code "puller" will not help you when you have an ox sensor code when you have 4. I have had a couple of situations where an Ox sensor went out of range and triggered a code, but after clearing the fault didnt trigger another code for a couple of months. But with my scanner i could see that the ox sensor was not working properly. How far do you want or are you willing to go?

Hey Thanks,

I am new to all this so I was unaware there was a difference. I would also like to know the make and model of your scanner and also where you purchased it and for how much? As for manuals is there anything that you use?

Thanks
