JL amps? I don't think so. For the money you pay for them, they don't put out. Ex: I had the JL 1000 watt mono amp running my 10W7....all I could hit was mid 147's. I swapped it out for a Fosgate 1500 Watt mono block, got a 100 bucks back, and hit 149.5 SEVERAL times.

the JL1000 watt amp would shut itself off and over heat ALL the time as well.

I never considered a W7 for high db's and as for the price you might be right.

Did I mention I love systems.

Speaker install

Hi it was pretty easy to install.
Cut out the spider web thing. Then unscrew the woofers from the top (bit of a hassle to turn them to get all the bolts)
Then woofer is lose then take the plastic ring and gently make it in a 0 shape ao it goes true the hole underneath then the woofer. Then use a dremel and cut the hole thing flat. So its just one ring. (could even cut more but my speaker fitted so it was good.) the i out the ring back in. And then puty speaker from top (was a tight fit was lucky it where focal isc serie those are very thin. Screwed those with stock bolts back in. And done. Was pretty easy but i toke my time. But its a 1-2h job depending how much u just sit and think
