What do you guys recommend as the best product to use for protecting/cleaning black interior leather and the dash on a clk320? And how often do you need to reapply the product? thanks!!

You always want to get a separate cleaner and conditioner. In the Lexol case, you use a damp sponge to work up the lather (it's like using saddle soap), which means the leather will dry out a little from the water evaporating. You always want to follow up with conditioner after cleaning. Do you use both the conditioner and cleaner?

Lexol has gone bad for me. that's it. no biggie.

Yeah yeah, I know. I was just informing people who did not know that.

Nothing is wrong with Lexol. It is actually the worlds leading leather/vinyl cleaning product. It is funny to me because a stupid kid in my school took a bottle of Lexol and lit it on my fire in a forest. It was stupid of him, but it makes me laugh thinking about what a dumbass he was. And then it got blamed on me, and ever since, ive been cursed by it.

lol.

2000 CLK 430 Cab w/Ash/Dark ash leather and Ash top : all options
Exclamation Please look here first!!!

This is the stuff that the pros use, and it is fantastic IMHO. This is all natural and doesn't have that petro smell like Lexal and most of the others. Oil and gas products belong in the engine and other running gear, not on the fine leather that M-B puts in our cars!!

Check it out before you try any other product!
