Finally installed VIPCLK320's c/f hood

What do ya think?

Fitment is so/so. I'll tweak it if possible but it turns alot of heads for better or for worse.

honestly, I'm really not into the 2 tone look, but for some reason, that hood looks pretty sick on your ride!

TK, now you need to paint the roof black to match it.

It's growing on me but I don't think pictures probably do it justice. I still remember when I posted pics of my CF interior and the one guy who said he "didn't really like CF" was TK. Clearly, the man has evolved.

BTW TK, did you say you have a kid who commented on your hood? Now that's turning the tables...

I know you are not one to bite his tongue so coming from you that's a real compliment.

Uh uh.

Hmm.......It attaches to the car at the exact same points as the oem hood. The two horseshoe locks on eithers side keep it locked down. The secondary lock in the center (the one directly below the hood emblem) did not fit without modifcation so I opted to leave it off.

You sir have unique vision. I've removed a great deal of "chromey, eyeball nasticity" yet she continues to be visually louder than Chris Matthews shouting at a tinitus victim. Next mod may be a coat of battleship grey.

It's true. The paint appears to be a straight line but there is a four inch width difference in the paint from end to end that does not come across in the pictures. As far as my son, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Thanks all for the comments. I like it, but I really like the metal oem color matched hood as well. I'll leave it on for a while and who knows, I may do something bat**** crazy like a hood scoop.

I think that our CLK's would look great in a medium - dark metallic grey color.

There is a grey that I've seen on a couple Audi TT's. It's a light grey with absolutely no metallic. It's almost like a grey primer with tons of clear coat. It looks sick. Anyone know what I'm talking about. Considered having mine done this color in a year or so.

P.S. The hood looks great. I really like it. From a side profile I think I can see what you mean about fiment issue.

TK as always good job on the hood!! Just think if someone marketed those projectors for 208, I'd be first in line.
