1999 CLK430 88K miles worth buying?
I am newbie, and wonder if a 1999 CLK430 with 88K miles is worth buying. Looks to be in great condition, but I don't want to buy problems. Any suggestions? Price could be around $15K.

Kleemann CLK 43K
I have a 99 CLK430 too. So far, I had all 4 oxygen sensor changed within the first 60k miles and replaced the pulley and belt once at 45K miles. They said the O2 sensors were not very reliable for this year model. The replacement sensors are made by bosch and are much more reliable. There was 1 recall for harmonic balancer. Other than these, there were no major problems for my car. You need to change the transmission fluid if you decide to get the car. I suggest replacing the shocks as well. Koni is better than OE. Do a search on "resetting the adaptive throttle" in this forum. That procedure makes a big difference for my car. $15K is a great price.

I have a 99 CLK430 and I haven't had anything major wrong with mine either. Harmonic Balancer repaired via warranty, and a few minor things typical with W208 regardless of model year. I've only got 46k miles and its runing strong.

CLK 430 Coupe
Mine is a '99 with 84k on the clock. Replaced A/C compressor, engine seals due to oil leak, and engine mounts. Runs like a champ. All these were replaced under warranty so mine is also on the market, but at a slightly higher price due to the mods that accompany it. PM me if anyone has any intrest.
