Loose roof strip.

Loose roof strip.
I just picked up a 2001 Black CLK last Friday. 
Absolutely Love this car. My first high end vehicle.
Anyway the roof strip I'm referring to is about a one inch wide strip that runs from the front to back windshields on the drive and passenger sides of the roof.
The driver side strip is nice and snug to the roof line.
The Passenger side is not, because it is lifted in the middle and can be pushed down. It doesn't stay snug because the brackets (one white and one red X 4) are broken.
I am taking it be fixed at the dealer next week. The service person wasn't sure what I was talking about when I explained the individual white and red brackets to him.
I believe the parts will have to be ordered. So I am trying to expedite things by getting the part name/number so they can order them a head of time.
Does anyone know where I can get this information from?

I had the same thing happen to me a little while ago. It just came loose one day i guess. I don't know about the part number but the entire process takes about 10 mins to fix. Try to set something up with ur service advisor and the technition working on ur car where you throw the tech $20 or something to fix it so you dont have to pay the $100 service minimum at the stealership. Thats what i did =) ($35 total - $15 for the parts and $20 for the work)

ewww thats not what ur supposed to do. The pieces click together with plastic brakets. yuck now ur once clean roof moulding is all goppy underneath. i'd rather spend 30 bucks.

its just sloppy dirty and unprofesstional... also i hope you didn't have any planns of intergrating a benz roof rack at anypoint cause you just ruined that option
....oh yeah and if you didn't use an epoxy that can be applied to plastics then that ****'s gonna eat right threw

Yeah, I want to keep the Benz nice and clean.
I have an appointment for next Wednesday to take it to the dealer to get it fixed.
