can someone tell me if rims off a w208 will fit on a w220? Will they need spacers? Thanks.

they will not fit unless you buy spacers and correct the offset. The W208 uses different size lug bolts than the w220. NOT recommended.

depends on what year. I had my 2002 CLK 320 rim put on my 1999 C class without any spacer. NO problem at all, it had been on the C class for over 4 years.

i believe he is asking if w220 rims will fit on a w208.... i don't know much about the w220, but it IS a SL class, which means the rims are NOT interchangeable.

W203, W210, and W208 wheels are typically interchangeable.

and even if you use spacers to make the correct offset, you will NOT be using the correct lug bolt diameter, which is not recommended.

Ok let's back up a bit...

He *has* a W220 -- 2000 Mercedes S500 -- that he wants to get "crappy" wheels for. He's trying to find out if the OEM 16s that come with the W208 fit on that car so he can swap out his Carlssons.

Obviously the bolt pattern is the same... and assuming that you have the longer lugs that come with the W208, will they mount? Or do you still need spacers to correct the offset?

that's my question. I have carlsson rims on the car right now. It is burnt and totalled, sitting in my garage. I want a cheap set of rims (damaged, curbed, bald tires, don't care) to put on my W220 so I don't have to give my insurance company my carlssons. So the W208 rims will not fit on the w220? That's unfortunate cause I had a great deal lined up for a set...
