Where do you put spare change???

OK, so I took delivery of my new baby and *LOVE* the ash top (I'll post pictures & details for all who said it's a chick car - the only guy who had a GOOD point was the one who said it gets dirty easily, which it sure as hell does).

But where the hell do I put my parking quarters??? I can't find a "spare-change-compartment" anywhere!!! Please help!

Put your spare change in your purse or in your bra. (bahahahahahahahaha)!

OK, I couldn't resist bashing one more time about the top being for chicks. And BOY is it GOING to get dirty (I am the one who pointed that out)

Put the change in the ashtray.

Allright dude, enough with the chick stuff ! This is my first day in the new car, don't ruin it for me. Wait till next week, then you can start making fun

As far as putting $$ in the ashtray, is there an actual COMPARTMENT for it? My old POS Ford had an actual COIN-compartment... I already leave my PO Box key (don't care about safety with that thing) and my garage-axs key in the ashtray, so not much room...

Thx.

Drop the glove box door, and on the right hand side you'll find slots for quarters.

Crappy thing is the slots are for quarters ONLY (well, of USA change, anyway - I'd guess several UK coins are thick enough to stay put).

The other less than perfect aspect: the slots are one heck of a long reach from the driver's seat.......

I heard that those were for credit cards. Mercedes owners have no need for coins, only credit cards

DaMan:

First Congrats on the platinum cab. Drive it in good health and don't let it drive you!

The fins in the glove compartment are mickey mouse - I don't fool with them, however if you look closely, the glove compartment lid has a pen holder (hard to see).

I put my quarters in the ashtray and nickels and dimes into the ashtray in the rear armrest. The pennies I keep for good luck at home.

Also you'll find a business card holder clip under the driver's armrest lid.

It took me a while to discover all the wonderful little extras the MB design team provided, which make a MB a MB, something special to enjoy and behold.

I put all my (silver) change in the ashtray- the only problem with that is that during cornering maneuvers they make a fair bit of noise, and tend to fall out of the ashtray (but are stopped by the ashtray door). I've got quarters in the glove box, but they're mainly for show .

M-B Stuff

The fins under the console arm rest are for your gas or other credit cards. Business cards - I don't think so, although they do fit.

I keep my change in a plastic 35mm film can in the glove compartment. Keep it full and then it doesn't roll around, and no jingling.

ho ho ho
