2001 CLK 320
Need Winter Tires
Hey guys, new member to your forum. Anyways just bought a 2001 CLK320 and right now with first snow already on the ground need to get winter rims and tires for my ride. I have AMG 5 spoke 17's right now...could someone please tell me what rims and tires I should be looking at that will get me through the winter. Any help will be appreciated!

Welcome!!! There are a few places you can look...1) take a look at the link abov, that may give you a start, 2) tire forum, 3) look at the toolbar on top of your page and select "search" and you can enter "tires" or "winter tires" or something along those lines and some useful threads should pop up...Happy hunting!

I'm still a newbie in my opinion, so you are welcome...... the guys on here are really experienced and know a lot in dealing with our cars..sorry, I don't have any pics, as I want her to look "presentable" before showing her off...I'd hate to have smart a$$ comments that were not requested... ha,ha....when I get a few things done, I'll be sure to get some pics up....

I just put my winters on yesterday. There are numerous options for 17" winter tires for our cars. You can go with stock sizing 225f/245r or go 225 all around or what i did .... 205f / 225r
PS - look on ebay and also try searching for porsche winter or porsche snow. i picked up a set of winter tires from a 996, and they were only $200 for a set of Dunlop M2s (70% remaining tread). As you prob already know, a narrower tire is better in the snow anyways.
