I would simply continue do what you're doing. Looking around. Read as much as possible BEFORE you mod so you don't make costly mistakes. You're a recent grad so a LOT of money can be sunk into your new ride (congrats by the way!). I find it interesting that the 'simple' mod can lead you to other mods. Take for instance your rims. Want new ones? Thats fine but some here are going to tell you to 'drop it!' (with suspension mods). Of course, new brembos (brakes) with nice painted calipers would look nice with those new rims too! But why have great looking brakes w/a stock (engine) car. Surely, a Kleeman supercharger kit is in order if you get the brakes! (see where this can go?)

Me, I'll probably upsize my rims (+1") to 18's and upgrade the shocks and springs (Bilstein?) with those rims. But not until spring. I MAY do the brembos but I need to make sure that whatever rim I get will fit with the new brakes (catch 22).
Basically, you'll have to see what mods you can do on YOUR budget. Ask questions and keep sleddin!

He's right....

The other thing you have to do is decide if you want show, go or both:

Show

Body Kits - BRABUS, Rieger, Expessions, Lorinser
Wheels - Whatever floats your boat, but give www.tirerack.com a try
Also look at www.formymercedes.com for some other goodies

Go

Supercharger, chips, itake, exhaust, pullies - www.evosport.com

Both

Suspension - back to tire rack

Good luck and welcome to the club

'Sliding around'? Don't buy Michelins ($200+ a pop) if you're going to be doing that! You'll be broke in no time! Be safe...

Like Ghostrider said, use Tire Rack (even for research).
Here is the link to their 'Wheel Tech' page: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/index.jsp

Here's their page on offsets: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/...jsp?techid=101

You'll basically need to know about offsets, spacers, center bore, bolt patterns, wheel construction, amongst other things. From the 'Wheel Tech' page, look for a link to 'The Plus Concept'. This is directly related to what you want to do (up-size your rim/tire size). Even if you don't understand it all, they will match the rim to your car and tell you what you'll need (like if you need spacers or not). And if you want to use them, feel comfortable doing so. I ordered my tires from them and they were on the front door step the next day. Tire Rack, I love em....

Oh, I forgot. Inform any seller that you may use if you plan on:
1) dropping the car (in the future) and
2) installing perfomance brakes (Brembo) in the future.
These two mods can impact what wheel you may want to buy.

Happy sleddin!
