Brake Rotors

Any recommendations? I dont want drilled, or slotted...just normal vented rotors. Balo, Zimmerman, or Brembo are my choices. Has anyone had any problems with these? About how long should rotors last? Because I had a shop do them in May 2006, and they are already warped (I dont drive like a maniac)....which makes me think they didn't use a quality rotor...

I currently use Brembo drilled rotors and i drive like a mad man and i have not had any problems to date... over 15k on the brakes thus far...

I am assuming regular Brembo brakes (sans drilling or slotting) should be more reliable in terms of wear and tear.

Maybe a retarded question....

What are the differences between drilled, slotted and regular? I would assume one is for more aggressive, speed oriented driving and one is not...Just wanted to know....

The general idea

as I understand it...Slotted and Drilled are to allow for faster cooling of the rotors therefore better (faster) breaking time. However I also hear the break dust often cakes into the holes and slots eliminating that as truely effective benefit over the regular vented rotors.

I'll go ahead and add that I am in NO way a mechanic or brakes expert....this should be obvious. Above is only how it was explained to me.

i have had both the brembo and zimmerman rotors on all the cars ive had and the one thing they both have had was cross drilling. it helps a lot under heavy brakeing. cny or stop and go on the freeway. never had a problem with the holes filling in. also i dont recomand slotted because they eat the pads away faster. sloting was mad for track cars no need to use them on the street. just my 2 cents.
