How many miles do you have on the car? I have heard you go 100K miles before you change the plugs?

i decided to change the plugs myself. im goin with the bosch platinum 2 plugs. they 4 bucks at kragen. i also need a torque wrench which will be another 30 bucks. so hopefully all goes well and my total price will be around 90 dollars. i'll let yall know how it went!

I would recommend going with the OEM spark plugs. Perhaps you can but the OEM plugs from some Internet vendor and then have them installed? It's the labor that is expensive at the dealer.

The OEM Bosch plugs are good for 100,000 miles OR 5 years, whichever comes FIRST. So, even if you have a low mileage CLK, if its 2001 or older, its time to change plugs...at least if you like to do things by the book.

I pulled 2 of my plugs last week on my C43 ( 66K ) and needless to say the 100k recommended replacement is B.S. . I would go no more than 75k on a plug change.
