Merc Roadside Assistance?

Merc Roadside Assistance?
If I think my battery may be bad... but I'm not sure.... would Merc Roadside Assistance come over to my house (where the car is parked) and install a new battery?
And...
If the new battery still doesn't fix the problem and the car still won't start, will they diagnose it for free?
Thanks

Never ever depend on the Mercedes Roadside assistance. That's the biggest joke ever.
They had me waiting in the middle of freeway for hours and still they never showed up.
To make a long story short, they offered me a few $s to compenstate me for the cell phone usage airtime, and to make up for their screw up.

I've called Roadside Assistance twice, and had good experiences both times. The first was my wife's '01 ML430. Battery died. They came out and replaced the battery. Then he reset the radio code, reset the steering sensors(easy job, but I didn't know that at the time), and resynched the sunroof. All I paid for was the battery. The second time was for my '93 400E, which decided not to start when we came out of a restaurant. I called them and they sent a guy out who load tested my battery, whick was fine, and helped me check fuses and things which helped me diagnose a bad starter. He then gave me a ride home of about 5 or 6 miles. Charged me nothing. I wouldn't hesitate to call them if there was a problem with which I thought they could help.

Roadside was great help
I used the Roadside assistance twice. The first time was 2 weeks after I bought my used 01 CLK 320. I went to crank my car and the battery exploded in my trunk. They came out with a new battery and installed it. I just had to pay for the battery. Then car would not start days after being laid off. They came out and a battery was not the solution to my problem. They offered to have it towed to their dealership. I denied the offer and called my local technician. Both times they appeared in a flash, within 15 mins or less and wondered how they got to me so fast. Great to have!!! Love it!
