75,000 Mile Service...what to do?
So I just got my 99 CLK a few months ago and reached 75k miles recently. Its been yelling at me for a service. However, it doesn't need an oil change for a couple thousand miles and I put some new cold air intakes w/ new filters on it (that i'm working on finding a way to keep COLD). There aren't any problems w/ cranking or power. However, now and then (once a week maybe?) it resonates a little while idling. Does this mean I need new spark plugs? Does anyone have a list of what's actually SUPPOSED to be done at 75k miles, or know what should/shouldn't be done? I'm about to install my exhaust and I have a few days to change fluids and things if need be.
Also, if I do need new plugs, what kind is best and are the higher performance plugs/wires worth the $? Thanks!

fuel filters, coolant flush, brake fluid flush, sparkplugs and wires, trans fluid flush(since it is a 99-does not have the 2000+ trans), and your maf sensor.
should think about replacing the crank position sensor.
if you really want to be **** about it, replace your breather hoses and valve cover gaskets.

Here's a few service items:
- Has 5 years past? If so, clean the sunroof slide rails and blocks, and grease them.
- Has 5 years past? If so, clean and lube the mono-wiper gear mechanism.
- Check the driveshaft flex-discs.
- Has 4 years past? If so, replace the fuel filter.
- If the engine air filters have 50K mikes on them, replace.
- Has 2 years past? If so, replace the coolant.
- Has 2 years past? If so, flush the brake fluid. This is also a good time to check the brake pads and discs.
- Has 5 years or 100K miles past? If so, replace the spark plugs and check the wires.
- Test the horn, warning flashers, all interior lights, dash lamps, windshield washer, and headlamp washer.
- Has 2 years or 40K miles past? If so, replace the cabin filter.
- Put the car on either a rack or ramps, remove the lower cover, and check for leaks. Any wetness anywhere is a bad sign. While you're there, it's a good time to check the tie rods and drag link for play, and to give the motor mounts a good looking over.
- Check the wheel bearing play.
- Check the V-belt.
- Lube the hood latch.
- Lube the e-throttle.
- Check the tires (preferably with a real tire pressure gauge).
