my 02 430 drags

it drags at random times, sometimes i will barely press down on the gas and the rpms jump wayyy up and it goes fast.. then sometimes i push it like halfway and it ****en moves like my old 4 banger accord... its really weird and annoying. anybody have any suggestions.. ive read something about the MAF going bad but theres only 1 malfunction on the dash and its about the brake pad lining.. any help would be great. thanks

info on car....
67k miles / removed resonator / other than that stock

How long have you had the vehicle for? Just because CHECK ENGINE light is not on doesn't mean it hasn't been restarted. What about them spark plugs man? need more info!

I would plug myself in... Try finding an OBDII to get some codes... This will point you in the right direction man. You can also find them on Ebay if you cant find anyone who has one... If u were in Canada AB I would let you use mine, but it sounds like your going to have to purchase one. This is kind of a wierd suggestion but are you familiar with the W(Wet) and S(Dry) options in your car? Maybe you just switching the button back and forth probably not, but though I would suggest it anyways. When I had a spark plug problem, my RPM's went into redline real fast when I gave it gas, lost its kick... as soon as I replaced my spark plugs everything went back to normal. To make sure your dealing with the right problem and find right solutions I would suggest plugging yourself in though!

Like I said man it could be possible that previous owner just reset the CHECK ENGINE light. So it only appears that nothing is wrong. But if you are getting different power ratios then I would suggest looking for the problem. Plug yourself in, then post the codes then we solve yourproblem
