actually, i've done it and you're wrong. On regular street tires or if they are the least bit worn, turn dsc off and dump the clutch anywhere north of 3k and you will just sit and spin. I did this several times on a set of PS1s. I actually tried to launch it the same way i used to launch my old audi and had problems even getting the thing to more. It might be harder now that i have track tires on the rears, but i have no desire to burn those things up. All it would take is a higher RPM drop.
Oh, and i had a 320. It was a fun car, but im still impressed that you got it to burn out like that, great job! The thing that finally drove me away from MB was the sluggishness of the line, starting from a red light felt like it gathered speed as fast as I wake up in the morning. From a roll it was different, but MB seriously needs to make manuals so it would be more fun from a stop.
You took the words right out of my mouth...I mean atleast make the CLK a stick-shift, sheesh, it's a sports coupe damnit!! Everytime I get in my CLK430 I just drool over why it ain't stick, I mean I just feel naked...one day...I will make it stick, one day...but until then I will have to just floor it and say "yeeehawww!" and feel like a retard racing
Well MB has had made manuals, I believe the old SLs have'em, but other then that I don't think there is any others maybe I'm wrong, maybe the old older models have them also, another thing about manuals is that you do actually have more control over your car in power and control then an automatic.
Nice video man... I think all the w208 owners need to make a little video and then someone should put them all together and make a compilation video.
Your car looks like my CLK exactly... Ok fine I don't have those rims
haha just got new tires... will make a lil video.... once they are a little used....
