Need Some Suggestions On Rims

I own a silver 2002 clk 430, the only thing i did to the car so far was put 20% tint ...I NEED SOME HELP WITH WHAT KIND OF RIMS TO PUT ON. I plan on putting on some 19's, but not sure what exactly i want. is chrome a good idea? alloy? I don't know too much on what looks good...HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Plus, how hard is it to put on those "blue lights" or halogens, or whatever they are called. (as you guys can see i dont know too much, i just look at pics online of different things to get ideas) HELP ME!!!

For the rims, your best bet would be to go through the CLK Picture Thread. That would give you the best idea of what wheels are out there. What type of wheels do you like, which ones always catch your eye?

The light, you can either get a plug and play HID kit for your stock headlight housing or you and get a set of factory HID headlights.

Hope this helps.... And welcome aboard!

First off, welcome to the forum. This is my opinion on rims, but some might disagree. I think 19's are perfect for the car. Fills up the gap and not as harsh on the road as you think. I would not go with chrome on a silver car. Chrome seems to clash with silver, go with alloy, something with a big lip that is polished.

As for the lights, I think your are talking about HID (high intensity discharge) lights. You can get the whole housing replacement, which is factory (which I totally recommend) or just get an aftermarket HID kit, which is just the light bulb and a ballast.

Sevas are cool because they are inexspensive and look nice.

These wheels are really nice in silver but they are 20's. I'm running 20's right now with no problem but alot of people on here are affraid to do it. They look the best on our cars because even the 19's can make your car look like it's missing something once you install them:

These are 19's and they also come in silver:

ya i dont like the chrome on silver either....i say go with silver/alloy....orrr...if u want try black or gunmetal....im going with black on my silver CLK and getting appropriate mods to accent off the black rims correctly...i like the silver but i dint think it would catch as many looks because it still almost looks stock
