Looking for a body kit

Hey everybody, new to the forum here. I drive a '99 CLK320 convertible, and the one thing that I can't stand about it is the black trim around the bottom. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good looking aftermarket body kit? Preferrably one that doesn't cost me an arm, leg, and eyeball. I have a custom pioneer and rockford fosgate system in already, and I'll get some pictures out after it gets out of the shop. Someone put a nice little dent in the trunk backing in to it in a parking lot, and the CLK needed new tires too. Also, I was wondering if anyone knew of any good performance parts for the 99 320? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Dude if you want your car to look a million times better than go with the amg body kit! I have the 430 they come with it but if they didn't than I would have put one one! It totaly changes the look of your car. Either way you go good luck and post some pic's,

Hey, thanks guys. Apparently the body shop is taking longer than I thought, but my baby should be out of the shop tonight. Not being able to drive your car for over a week kind of gives you a new appreciation for it. Especially without my stereo. I got a dent removed, and my trunk re-painted from someone hitting my car in a parking lot, but they were going to charge me 700 dollars to repaint the bumper! So I figured for a little more than that, I could find a body kit, or at least a new bumper. it's not urgent because it's not so noticeable, but... it's one of those things that I notice. Thanks guys.

Thanks for the replies, guys, but I'm not looking into buying one at this moment. I'm going to wait until summer, when my budget lets me. I was looking more for aftermarket ideas, but I do like the AMG kit. Any ideas, keep me posted. Thanks.

Hmm. Looks clean. I'll look into it whenever I get a chance. I do like the reiger kit. How expensive are they? I should have enough by summer-time, but school takes over life right now.

i think you can get the whole kit for about $1200.. look it up on ebay... its all add-ons... lip kit.. made of ABS material NOT fiberglass... so it won't crack... i like the kit alot.... thats the whole reason i bought the CLK.....

im personally not a big fan of the reiger kit....not exactly the cleanest kit IMO (esp the rear)....

other alternatives u can look at are carlsson, lorinser, brabus, evosport, and the newer AMG styled kits that they got...

You could try the Brabus Kit or the replica if you're on a budget. My kit is the full Brabus Kit and it looks pretty slick. The add on lip spoiler for the front and rear bumpers look realy nice with the CLK 320...and so do the side rocker panels. Look me up and check out more pics of my kit...it's just a clean look that gives you just enough of a sporty look.

Here's some pics from when I used to have 19's on the car. You can see the body kit a little better on these old pictures.

Ahhh... so many nice kits. I think the Reiger kit would look good on silver, but not in black. Just the same, I think that the Brabus kit would be great on black, but I'm not as sure about silver. Btw, CLK FAN, Those quad exhausts are tight, what kind of exhaust system is that?
