Anyone Know How To Ship A Full Front Bumper??
hey, i need to ship out a full front bumper that i recently sold, but the place in my town that ships out via UPS,FedEx, and DHL said the package is too big so they cant do it...They said to try a company like Roadway or somtin but they gave me an estimate of $271 which is too much....i see ppl on ebay putting shipping costs of bumpers for like $100-150 so there has to be another cheaper and effective way of shippin it....anyone know??
thanks
thanks

Hersh, my new bumper from Creative Auto came UPS but they used a road freight company (subcontracting I guess). The box it came in was obviously wider than the car itself, about 3 feet high and 18 inches deep. I ALMOST kept that box too! Unfortunately, I didn't.
Oh yeah, shipping was $190. I thought it was highway robbery but what can you say with the price of gas these days? Will UPS ship if you box appropriately?

Yea you can fudge a little and get away with it. Just make it measure up right to the max dimensions they allow. If you schedule a pickup, they just throw it in the truck. the drivers dont care as long as it isn't too heavy for them to lift.

thanks anthony n da guitarist....thas basically wut the buyer recommended...he said ta do the same thing except wit fedex...jus arrange for the pickup and theyll usually jus take it...opposed to if u actually take it to the fedex or UPS store where they actually measure it etc...
