AMG Intake?????
Whats up bros???? I got a quick question about the AMG intake upgrade. I have a 2000 CLK430. I want to do the intake upgrade but dont know if I need to also do the ECU at the same time. I was hoping to get the intake done then the ecu. By the way what kind of gains will I see with just the intake, and what kind of gains will I see with both. Thanks again bros. Yeah, I've got the same problem. I have a 320, and it seems that all of the performance parts are for the 430, 500, or 55. Can you fit an AMG intake on the CLK320??

CLK 430
I'm a new MB owner, so I have lots of questions, one beingif I were to put the 55 intake on my 430, would I need to replace the intake manifold or can I just put it on and then upgrade the ecu?

the 55 intake is the 55's airbox and the 2 hoses...and then the coverplate for cosmetics mostly.......you might wanna change out the filters as well...i along with many other on the board have green filters...a lot of others use K&Ns but they have MAF issues......perform a search..

CLK 430
I got a 55 intake as well but i didnt have to change the hoses i used the 430 hoses. I notice only a minor gain after adding the intake. Did i have to change the hoses as well?

im pretty sure you have to change out the hoses as well.....i didnt think the 430 hoses would even fit?? the holes for the hoses on the 55 airbox seem to be bigger and i thought thats what also allowed more air flow which = more power...?

Well they have a thread somewhere on here of pics and DIY of the AMG 55 Airbox upgrade, you gain somewhere between 5-30 HP just Intake upgrade I heard, it's in that thread, it varies.
I could only imagine what the ECU upgrade would do with it! BRUTAL!![Violent](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/violent.gif)
The guy even did a comparison of the CLK430 Airbox and the AMG 55 Airbox, it's massive and you definately can notice the difference between the 2.

For the 320 you can get the custom short ram intake on ebay, and then switch out those generic filters for a k&n one. Its bout $40 for the intake (thats with shipping) and if you wanna replace the cone for the K&n it might run ~$50 so roughly $90?
