if all fails, take it to the dealer. its an easy warranty fix.
IM ASKING YOU GUYS, do you think i should let the STEALERSHIP fix the rear sun shade??? is the risk of the screwing up my > $7K system worth the benefit to fixing the sun shade??? my initial thought hell no! but this may be the last chance before my warranty runs out. my car now has 47,300 miles.... so its close...

i dropped my car off at the STEALERSHIP today for my routine oil change. since my last visit to the STEALERSHIP to have the rear sun shade worked on the fuse has blown twice again. i brought this up to my service advisor this morning. he recommended to have the entire motor and shade replaced as it was still under warranty. HOWEVER, my concern is not whether it will be fixed properly, but whether the STEALERSHIP and their incompetent technicians will disrupt any of my audio equipment as in my 15" sub and my rear deck speakers...

took the car back in today and came back around 4pm. the technician said he was working on it all day. there was still no clear cut source of he malfunction. the seat problems was finally fixed by unplugging the passenger seat controller module and thereby erasing all the memory from the passenger side seat. the technician hypothesized that the seat had stored the incorrect default settings and could not move back far enough.
was the problem fixed? yes, it was, but took an unnecessary two full days. was i pissed off? yes! did they comp everything in the end? YES! that still doesnt make up the amount of time i waited at the STEALERSHIP. the ONLY thing that made me feel better was checking out a SL 55 in the showroom...... [sigh]
at least it is all over... until next time.

I'm now the owner of brandon's (byip25) clk, and the sunshade problem has returned - I've replaced the fuse twice and both times the fuse blew when I try to open the sunshade. Any ideas as to what might be causing the problem?
At least the sunshade is now stuck in the closed position...
