i say the 6 series is a no match for the clk..... look at the exterior, how ugly can it get? same thing with the 5 series, i say bimmer are going downhill!
the only thing i figure bimmers are doing a pretty decent job is at acceleration and speed of its cars other than that its garbage, especially they change model so often which depreciates the car a lot! must be wacked in the head to get a bimmer

Tango... You are right!! I can not figure what the deal is with that ugly humpbacked trunk. I had planned to buy a new 7 series until I saw the pictures, then I decided to buy my CLK55. I have no regrets!! This car is everything I hoped for. The new 209 is a nice looking car but to me it just doesn't have that special look. You know it's like some women, there are pretty women then there are pretty women with that special look! You know what I am talking about, and the CKL 208 body has that, at least for me!!

frankly, i think the sc430 looks better than the 6 series... at least that is a hard top convertible

tango- the only thing i think the 6 series might have over the clk is the power... ranging from a 333hp V8 to a 550hp V10 for the M version

............I thought the BMW 6 series was not even in the same market as a CLK. The 6 series I understood was to be considerably more expensive and geared towards an upmarket. Am I wrong?

The 6 series is really suppose to be somewhat a replacement for the 8 series

BMWs only other 2+2 coupe is the 3 series, and I for one don't really see that as being the CLKs direct competitor.

Hey guys, i looked down the list and at first glance , only the Celica caught my eye. What does that tell you about the BMW's?

The only other thing I noticed was how low the W209 looked.

Now tell me, was I looking at only one model of BMW

Yours, a truely biased W208 owner

You are so wrong. If you want to take it there a better comparison would be the bmw 3 series in general. The m3 is a direct competiitor to the clk55 only.

i should have been more clear

clk 320 is competitve with bmw 330
clk430-clk 55 with m3....

I mean even a clk 320 costs like 47k out the door, wayyy over what the 330 is going for....
