If your car is lowered with basic H&R or Eibach springs the tire sizes to go with so you don't rub should be 225/35/20 and 245/30/20. You can go with a 255/30/20 if the car ends up sitting higher than expected. I have 225/30/20 up front because my car is slammed.

The best drop in my book to make things easier for you would be to get the Eibach's because they drop your car less than H&R.

Offsets should be between 40mm and 35mm.

Don't get the H&R cup kit because you will have problems. My car sits lower than most CLK's on the road but I've done a lot of mods to make it work but I'm regreting it because my car is starting to sink and I'm getting rubbing in the back....that's all getting fixed this week though with some more modding and installation of some goodies I bought.

Good luck with the wheels search. But do yourself and everyone a favor and stay away from the cheesy chrome wheels that kinda kill the Euro look of our cars. Stay sporty.

Then you'll be fine but the car may look a little tall. Get the Eibachs and you'll chillin.

8.5 with a 40mm offset and a 38mm offset for the 10" or 9.5. If youget a 9.5 it will be a sure fit.

or did u mean he could use a 30 sidewall up front instead of 35?

All I'm sayin is that the lower the side wall the better your clearance will be....but in my case I went with the lower side wall because my car is slammed. If he goes with the 35 he will have better ride quality but he has to make sure that he stays at a normal drop.

And if he goes with the Eibach springs and a #4 pad on the rear he could go with a 255/30/20 because he will have space. But if he goes too low then he will have to with a 245/30/20....but the rear offset should be between 35mm and 40mm.

Hey deyainrdy4ds,

If you ever want to step it up...I found this on ebay...I didn't know they made the Concep Neeper in 20". I used to have a set in 19" but with a custom black paint job so that I'd end up with a chrome lip, but I didn't know they had um in 20". Check out the link.

That's with 19's and 18's...the only way you could fit a 275 with 20's is if you went all out and broke your pocket book and bought Pirelli's...they are the only company that makes a 275/25/20 and those tires run about $500 a piece. Pirelli is the only company that makes a 25 side wall for the 275/20.

Tho, I wonder who put the most rubber on their CLK, you know, like 295s..for those people who have some power under the hood.

I don't think anyone on this forum has 295's on their w208. But I know that the Renntech w208 clk has some thick rubber but it also has fender flares on the rear end and the front allowing for some good rubber. I think that car was pushing about 490 hp + at the crank.

I'v attached a white smooth Renntech wide body CLK 60...it's probably the most tastefully done wide body I've seen but the wheels have to go and it needs a better front bumper. And the black one is nice to but you can't really see the body mods to well.

Check out this link and look around to find the Silver CLK 60 on PDF...that one has the really wide body and huge tail that I don't like but it's the really fast one with big horse power...I think more than the 490hp.

Damn CLK FAN, that is hot!!! I never seen a CLK like that before, I've searched and searched googled, images, yahoo w/e all I get is a CLK430 with the DTM wide body kit and it's only 1 pic of it!

That is just straight out pimpin, but that upgrade packages man...that's alot of money tho for those upgrades...IMO it seems like you should be getting more HP out of the last package for the CLK430...

none the less good stuff bro!

the 30 low pro tires are expensive as hell - would 225/35/20 and 245/35/20 be good on a 8.5 and 10 in the back ? stock suspension, might put eibachs down the road, 6-12 months.

You have to go with 30's in the back if you're gonna go with a 20x10 to be safe and to be ready for future mods. Go with Falken's...they're pretty cheap for the 245/30/20.

The 225/35/20 would be fine.
