ive been driving my bens (clk 430 2000) quite a bit and latly ive notice that wen i put it into first it doesnt seem lik it picks up as fast it seems lik there is somthing holding back the speed or somthing 2nd gear seems to be faster lol

any help benz owners?

 

Maybe you got it in Winter mode instead of Sport.

 

nooo its in sport but like it feels lik somthing is clogged or somthing its gay i was racing my buddies acura tl a spec or w.e and i got smoked lol pretty hurting haha

 

try resetting the transmission. Theres a post on here on how to do that. The adaptive transmission can get lazy very easily...after reset you should notice a big improvement...at least until the transmission adapts back to its old lazy way....

 

Is the CEL on? Is the car throwing any codes? Could be a MAF....

Thats it! Thats the transmission reset I was talking about. Try this first, you will be really surprised at the difference it makes....it just doesnt last very long...

 

Any of you guys w/ ECU remaps try this? Do you know if it actually keeps any settings adjusted by Powerchip, Kleemann, Renntech, Speedtuning, etc? I wonder if it only adjusts the tranny or if it does the timing and octane also...
