well the title might be a slight exageration but im still really confused with what my cars doin outa nowhere completely on its own....yesterday morning when i went to my car...the front lights (dont remember if it was the turn signals or city lights) along with my taillights were just flashing slowly and my interior light was on......i just pressed the unlock button and it stopped and didnt see the problem again....
but then again this morning at like 5:30 AM my brother woke up to tell me the same thing...the lights were flashing and interior light was on....outa nowhere

anyone know what the hell could be causing this?? so confused

anyone think it could have anything to do with the HID fogs i just got installed? a short in the system somewhere or something?

The only thing that I can think of right now is that your inside light has a short and when it turns on its setting off the alarm. But, ur saying that the siren does work, and that should go off too if that was the problem.

i just went outside and it was doin it again! and then stopped as i was just watching it do it...

ya it happens completely randomly...dono wtf it is....hopefully someone can help or otherwise im gunna hafta hit up the stealer before my battery does from it ...

It sounds like the alarm is going off and thats why the lights are flashing, but if that was the case, the siren should go off too. I dont think the dealer would work on it if you have a lot of mods on the car. thats cow they are here anways.

Mine had a problem with the glove box switch. it had a short, and it would set off the light, and that would set off the alarm. Since my siren is bad, I wouldnt hear the alarm, I would notice the lights flashing. After a few minutes it would stop.

Oh it's no problem Deyain, you have the police CLK that did not make it into the Transformers movie, it's a simple step process with most CLKs, it's their pre-form stage phase they go through.

sounds like a bad fuse maybe? check your fuses number 1, check your lights, maybe you miswired, move them around a bit, play around with it, if you still cannot get it fixed, I'd take it to audio specialists or wherever that deals with eletronic components.

yup, most likely it's that problem, I remember this problem with another user who had the same issues, alarms wouldnt go off but you see the lights flashing.

I would have this problem too except my siren would go off and on...i just replaced the batteries in my key..theres 2 D sumthing they are circular can buy them at any store like longs drugs cvs pharmacy etc...just try to size it cuz there are many diff sizes...goodluck...

thanks for the help guys....first thing ima do is go ta the guy who recently put the HIDs into my fog lights to see if mayb he fukd with some wrong wire causing a short or somethin...but thing is i wont even know if it was fixed cuz it just occurs randomly so ill just hafta sit around n wait or somethin ..

also...i dono if its really the alarm goin off without the siren part because my interior rear light turns on too....

przskills...wen u had this problem, all you did was change the battery on your remote? how can it really be remote related?....and i have the new chrome key and heard u cant change the battery on it cuz it just charges itself when its in the ignition or somthin...(could b wrong tho)....

In addition to the glove box, check your trunk latch to see if it is loose. I had a similar problem (but also with the siren going off). It turns out that my trunk latch was loose, so it was tripping the alarm. In my case, I put two & two together, as I noticed the trunk ajar LED on the console flickering occasionally when I went over bumps.

so i spend 4+ hrs detailing and cleaning my car the other day for my first carshow today...i go to start my fukin car and NUTHIN! omfg ..i got the ****tiest luck...but its weird cuz all the lights work but my car wont start..im assuming its the battery jus cuz this weird **** thats been happening and probably draining my battery but im confused since everything is lighting up like normall....is this normal on a benz or something??

roadside is on their way as i speak since i tried jumping it and it still wouldnt start..they said a battery would be 165 straight from them if i need it...should i do it??

Doubt it is the battery. Sounds like the ECU has been on the fritz all week.

whoa, i'm pretty much on the same boat. the alarm went off several days ago at dawn! << (ruined my sweet bedtime, its weekend) the car was INSIDE the house! as i went to look at the car, the siren stopped and i have every single type of lights flashing around both outside and inside.

I already went throught this is your trunk lock mechanisium, you need to replace for new one so be ready to spend a couple of benjamins on that.
