Climate control has a mind of it's own??
My climate control changes temperature settings and fan settings at random times without input. I'll be drivin along with settings of LO on both sides, fan on low, and it will suddenly change back to 72 degrees with fan wide open. Any body else had a problem with this? Ideas? Path to repair? Expense?
Also I can't turn it off AUTO sometimes. Thanks.

In a worst case scenario you'll pay full retail at $860 for the controller and who-knows-what labor in R&R and diagnostics fees.
The early controller can be purchased at my local dealer for $650 with an MBCA discount. MBCA membership is $45 - not a bad trade. You may be able to buy it for $650 without the discount. There is a difference between the early and late models. The late models have been redesigned at least once, and I am unaware whether a late unit will work in an early chassis or whether the early units have been redesigned.
MBCluster dot com may be able to rebuild your original controller.
