Hi all, what is going on with my benz? I threw a malfunction 2 days ago that is not going away when I turn on the headlights. It says Lamp Failure - Check lights, but everything works fine. What's the deal?

Are you sure that you checked the license plate bulbs? And if so then have someone else press the brakes while you check the rear to make sure that they light up...this could be it?

Another thing - I've had that happen when a bulb is still working about about to go out - check the signal and brake bulbs for worn filaments that look like they've about had it.

BMWg84: I also get that from time to time, also in additions to what Josh is saying, check the connector socket and make sure they are free of rust or build up that might be triping up the sensor.
Josh....what happened to your hooptee? did the mini cooper replace it?

Check your "running lights" also. The small round lights next to the headlights.
