19" Brabus monoblock V's

Hey gus will 19" brabus monoblock v's fit on a w208 clk? 8.5 width all around. Anything else I have to know? Will I have to roll my fenders or anything. Any thought suggestions? I need to know by 3 tomorrow. Thanks.

They should fit right on w/o any modification. If you lowered your car with the right setup you shouldn't have to roll your fenders. I would highly recommend you to get wider rims in the back like 19x9.5.

I have another question on 19" rims without lowering the CLK. I am just a bit confused on everyones different setups.

What tire size is best for 19x8.5F and 19x9.5R without lowering? Does it need dropping with 19's

What if I were to go with 18"F/R? What size would be best?

Thanks,

19x8.5 should be 235/35/19 and 19x9.5 should be 265/30/19, you don't have to lower your car when you put 19" rims but it'll be like 2 inches higher than it was before with the stock rims that's why people usually lower their cars when they put bigger rims on. 18x8F 18x9R can go with tire size 225/40/18 and 255/35/18.

I think 2" higher is an exaggeration. There is only a .6" different in the stock wheels diameter (245/40/17) and the new (265/30/19) wheels so how can it be 2" higher? It should only be .3" higher.

if you wanted to keep the same rolling radius as stock.....the closest size in a 19 would be 245/30/19, but I don't think that exist....255/30/19 is closer..but most would say 265/30/19 is best. Slightly off on speedo but that's ok. If the car is not lowered, you really won't be sitting much higher...it just looks that way. When the fender gaps exceeds that of the tire profile, it looks like a Suburu Outback...just an optical illusion.

tire sizes should be the same regardless if the car is lowered or stock height. as implied, the goal is to keep the overall radius/circumference as close to stock as possible to keep the speedo accurate.

in terms of bigger rims will 'raise' your car, there is some truth to that (probably not 2 inches though). with stock tires, the profile is higher, there is more rubber and it 'sits/gives' under the weight of the car. with bigger rims, lower profile, stiffer sidewalls will not 'give' so the car sits higher. (ask anyone who has their car lowered-when they put back the stock wheels, the car is even lower)
in addition, it does visually look higher with bigger rims and less profile.

KevinV,

i think Bruce was trying to say that it will LOOK 2" higher if you don't lower the car after you put 19" on, not actually the car itself.

Cool, and one more thing....to lower it I was thinking of getting H&R sport springs, If it lowers 1.4 inches will I have any problems?

Make sure you check out the wheel weight on those Brabus Monoblock V's... I had 18" Brabus Monoblock V Multipiece beofre the LMs and I found them to be ridiculously heavy... but, they sure do look nice.

thats one reason brabus is not top on my list... although super high performance isn't what i'm looking for anyways, and usually, high performance and 19s don't go hand in hand

and i think those Mono Vs weigh about 38lbs each, without tires

Trust me, those 18" Brabus made my car feel like it had cement for wheels. My car handles much better with the 19" BBS LMs and feels significantly quicker off the line.

I just think that swapping 19s on any car without lowering the car look rediculously high & ugly . . . so please lower your car

I GOT THEM....next comes springs and shocks...I am thinking eibach springs with either koni or bilstein shocks, which would you guys go for. I am pretty set on the springs, because I hear that eibach springs dont have as harsh of a ride as the h&r and they dont lower it as much. So any ideas on the shocks. Thanks.
Also I wont have any problem putting 245's in the front will I?

what is the offset of my wheels, 35 or 45? I need to find out if the wheels will make it on without spacers.

look on the inside of your wheels. you should see 'Brabus' stamped somewhere and also the offset #.
