W208 Common Problems Fixed w/Part Numbers

Cap [210-827-00-31] $90.95
(Fixed Broken Rubber Antenna Stem)

Electric Motor [210-820-13-42] $102.50
(Fixed passenger side view mirror. Side view mirror automatically adjusts the view downwards while driving in reverse but would not return to original drive position.)

Seat control unit [208-820-06-26] $231.24
(Fixed passenger seat. Seat moves forward while pressing back button -> and moves forward while pressing <- forward button. Seat will move backwards when using any of the 1-3 programmed numbers. All other seat buttons work. After I ordered the part the seat started to move backwards so I checked the other functions and found the problem moved to the seat not reclining backwards. After replacing the control unit everything works fine.)

I ordered from http://www.oempartsdirect.com/

I had the same type of problem with my seat. My passenger side seat would not slide forward when the fold tab was pulled. I trouble shot my problem to a Fwd and Backward motion motor going bad. Replaced part and bingo all checked 5.0

How about posting the part number for your fix.

Just pop off the mirror and unscrew the motor and replace it then pop back on the mirror. Done. Should only take 5 minutes.

The problem was with the Computer, not motor. It is located under the seat, you just have to remove the seat to get to it. I'm was too lazy to do it myself so I had a friend at a shop do it for.

Need a source for seat controlller 208 820 06 02

I'm looking for any more up to date references for a good source for the passenger seat control box 208 820 06 26. The OEM.......... link listed earlier now appears to be Auto Barn, who doesn't deal with these parts at all.

I've been dealing with numerious recyclers, from some fast talkers in Chicago who wanted to sell me the whole rail assembly for $580, which is what I can get a new module from MBZ for, to some California guys who ended up having no record of the $200 part they were supposedly sending me.

KO Performance says they have a new one in stock for $440, but there are some nasty reviews of these guys on some other forums, including BMW, though they seem to be from 2008. Anyone had any more recent experiences?

I went as far as replacing the four V23078-C1002-A303 Siemens relays in the assembly, which I got from a guy in So Cal who repairs BMW window controllers, but no luck. I can still hear what sound like the relays actuating in the assembly, but still no up/down control in the seat back, and more importantly, no forward/back. It was a ***** to get the cushion off, because I can't get at the front rail bolts until I'm able to move the seat back, which would have allowed me to remove the entire seat first.

I know for certain the up/down control for the rear of the front passenger seat, is not a motor issue, because I can swap plugs with the front of seat motor, and make the rear motor work using the front motor control. The front/back motor has a fifth pin though, so I can't swap with anything, unless I want to get really creative and jump from the driver's side control box output. Given the problem for the rear of the seat cushion isn't a motor issue, I strongly suspect neither is the front/back problem.

So, again, anyone got any good sources for a used part, or any more current feedback on KO Performance and their supposed new part?
