Respray my hood?

Before i start to make calls, how much do you think something like this would cost?

My CLK was a highway car with the first owner. She drove about 50 miles there and back, so it has plenty of stone chips in the front. The Stealer did a great job of touching up, but now that paint has chipped away.

How much should i excpect to pay for a hood respray.... i mean are we talking about +$1000?.... I have never had anything repainted on any of my cars.

Definitely less than $500. My bf was quoted today by my body shop $250 to paint the roof black on his Audi. You just gotta call around.

And as for the flat black paint job...if you want it done good and done right, I would say about anywhere from $8k-$15k, and then you might want to look for smaller shops that do more specialty work. Like my car right now is at a shop that mostly does 'low rider' show car stuff. Those guys know what they're doing. Flat black would look nice, that or satin black is what I would do if I ever had my car repainted. But that wouldn't be anytime in the near future.

I just went to a shop a week ago to have my hood re-sprayed black and it was 300 and a second shop quoted me 275 with a wet-sand.

Flat black is mostly used for camoflauge...it is void of all shininess, hence the FLAT part. If done right I bet that would look kick*ss!!!!

Ya custom paint work isn't cheap. My friend is in a low rider car club and one of those guys has his own shop and for a FULL custom paint job, he charges normal people $12k. When the time comes and I still hang out with my friend, he'd hook me up for about $5k. But that's a long while from now!!!

Just the roof however, the $250 the my boyfriend will get charged is a really good deal, I guess its from knowing the guy, but normally it'd probably cost around $500 give or take. That's such a hot look, you should definitely go for it.

In the market
I had the hood on my C resprayed for $200 at a custom. I imagine it shouldn't cost you much beyond that. Best of luck
