I was going back through a few old pics of the Rose Bowl meet, I came across these and you said you were out and about somewhere there.

If I remember the story correctly, and this is the same guy, he couldn't run lower than mid-14's in the quarter mile. I asked if it was a real CLK55, if it had the 4-million mile old original plugs, dirty air filters, air in the tires, if he was using the pedal to the far right, and all the usual stuff. It turns out it is a real 55, in good tune, and no, he couldn't run lower than a mid-14. I told him that would mean my car is faster than his, and my car is definitely NOT faster than his. Something must be wrong.
Cutting this story short - He had no idea what the S/W switch was and just left it alone. The transmission switch was in winter mode - he was starting off in second gear.
