AMG rear bumper removal? ...Carlsson RS rear fitment..?
anyone have a DIY on the rear AMG bumper removal? im assumin it shudnt be that difficult......also anyone have any information about the fitment of the carlsson rear bumper? thrillkill? ahmad? freddy (if u did urs yet)? CLKONDUBS?....ne1.......im thinkn of just gettin it painted sumwhere n tryin to put it on myself if it isnt too difficult..?

If I remember one of the old threads back when? TK had a DIY for the Carlsson kit. PM him and he should give you further details..I had my local shop do all the work since I was paying a grip, so why should I do any work?

It's not difficult. I did a write up with pics but damnit I can't find it.
Anyway, remove the carpeted spare wheel cover from your trunk. Remove both hard felt side covers(where the amp is etc.) Remove all the little H-pins along the black plastic piece (large U shape) that spans between the bumper and the trunk and remove this piece. If you now look where you removed the black piece you will see three bolts with attached washers, loosen these but don't remove yet.
Look directly at your rear wheel. There is one screw on each side where the farthest end of the bumper(closest to the door) connects to the rear quarter panel. You'll either have to remove your rear wheels or use a very small ratchet to remove.
Look inside the trunk along the wheel wells. There are three gold colored bolts on each side(one may be hidden on the right side behind some computer parts that are wedged in with foam. Remove these.
Best to have a buddy or 2 to hold onto the bumper as you remove the 3 loosened bolts from before.
You may encounter some wire attached to a metal box in the bumper. It's an outdated antenna or something that apparently we don't need. I chucked mine but find out before you do.
