Help!!!!!My Antenna cap broke off!!!!

I noticed today that my Antenna cap, located on the roof of the car broke off!!!! (the small rubber sticks up 1-1.5Inches)
I dont know if the cap just broke off or some A****** broke it. I did a search and some members said they paid $90-100 for the little cap which only comes as ONE piece with the housing??? Is this true?? If I get the unit, how hard is it to install? Do I just unscrew the cap and put the new one in???
Is there an alternative? I think the price at the dealers too stiff?

Do you guys think I should get it fixed ASAP to avoid water from sipping in through the broken off rubber stick?

Alternative....uhhh find another clk and jack that ****...... jk, dont shoot guys!!!

No seriously the same thing happened to me but the funny thing is that I found the rubber part at the bottom of my driveway. I figured I accidently knocked it off while hand washing my car or something. I have also heard of these things coming off at car wash booths with high pressure pumps so if you've recently washed your ride you may want to look around the booth or your drive.......

Just in time! I found the rubber stick on my driveway this morning and when I tried to plug it back in, it slides right in but it comes back out when I flick at it. I think its been torn off somwhere from the bottom. I am going to super glue it when I get home from work. Hopfully the super glue will do its magic. How long has it been since you super glued it? Did you try taking your car to the car wash afterwards? I wonder if it will stay on after the car wash with high pressure water?

Oh! I called the dealer this morning and they told me it will cost $140!!!

I think it came off when I was dusting the snow off my car the other day. I don't remember hitting the rubber cap while dusting but oh well...at least I found the $140.00 piece of rubber.

It is one complete part, housing with rubber stem. Easy to replace, takes 30seconds. I believe the screw is H10.

Cap [210-827-00-31] $90.95
(Fixed Broken Rubber Antenna Stem)

I ordered from http://www.oempartsdirect.com/

I have no clue I am trying to come up with an answer but nothing. The bottom end of the rubber cap where its been cut off looks like a clean cut with the blade. Just the rubber cap came off (more like its been cut/slashed off) of the plastic housing but the actual antenna inside the rubber cap was intacted. So far, the super glue's doing its thing.

If there is no worry of leaks, I'd just leave it like that.

WOW, I'm glad you found it!

Yeah mine looked very clean cut as well when it came off. The superglu has held it on there pretty good, and yes I have sprayed it at the wash with no problems. I do keep my eye on it though.
