Question?? After I replaced the wheel to 19x8.5 front , 19x19.5 rear.

I got a humming noise during braking almost to a stop and also when making a right turn and I wonder if this is normal? Anyone Please?

thanks..

It's your tires. More force is placed upon them when braking, and when you turn the wheels the tires are 1/2 out of the fenders, thus being louder.

That is a good point, however, the extra force place on braking..will this have any short term or long term side effects that a driver should be aware of? Reason i ask is because i am planning to upgrade to 19' and want to know all the facts prior to putting them on.

Could be a wheel bearing. Especially since it's happening in turns.

Time for a shop visit probably.

2000 CLK430 w/ 19"AMG rims
rims

I have 19s on my clk. You just need to make sure that your spacing is correct and that nothing is rubbing. I don't hear any rubbing unless I have 3 hot women in the back seats..lol.. I have 235/35/19 fronts and 265/30/19 rears

When making a left turn, the tire noise is underneath the fender. There isn't noise in front of the tire because you are moving forward. Try having someone sit on the passenger side with the window down while making a left turn. If you have Michillen Pilots, I can tell you that at least part of the noise is definitely because of the tires.
