18" AMG Styling III Monoblock - Completed
I finally was able to obtain a set of the AMG Style III Monoblock wheels in 18x7.5 and 18x8.5 with all the right measurements for my 02 CLK 430. I had them mounted this evening. Just replaced the old ones, no mods were needed. Preliminary photos are at:

rims look awesome.. i do see a fender gap.. possible upgrade would be a suspension kit to drop the front and back 1.5 for a very mean, aggressive look w/o sacrificing any performance or quality of ride. But, that's a personal call on your part. But, rims look very nice..

I will be able to tell much better tomorrow in the daylight how much of a gap there is, etc. My first impressions are that the CLK should have had these wheels as stock in the first place. The ride is only slightly harsher, not too noticeable. Once I break in the tires I will be able to say more about their performance, but everyone else has nothing but good things to say about them. BTW, the tires are Bridgestone Potenza S-03, 225/40 front, 255/35 rear. Also, thanks to Gaston at autoclass for getting me the wheels.

How much for the 18" Styling IIIs from Autoclass? Somebody posted on another forum that Autoclass will be getting the 18" Styling IVs in soon. They are the split-spoke design that will be standard on the W209 CLK55. The width and offset are the same as the 18" Styling IIIs.

They were around $1600 for the set, shipped. The tires were a little over $800 shipped. I think it is likely the Style IVs will be available soon because my dealer has the information about them in their system, and they did not have any info about the Style IIIs. I am still waiting for the sun to come out so I can take some more pictures.
