Lorinser, by a long shot. Then carlsson. As far as MH-Dezent goes, I personaly think its cheap looking and your stock AMG looks much better.

I looked at every kit available for the CLK last year....RS kit won by a mile....I find the Loriser kit far to "soft" looking and I hate those shark gills on the side skirts...RS kit is the closest to a true DTM areo package.
I ran the the RS kit leaving on the AMG side skirts

My ideal set:

Carlsson RS Front
AMG Side Skirts
MH Dezent Rear bumper....very close to DTM...dual exhaust is great...but trunk modifications necessary.

I would probably make a few modifications to blend them together.

Thoughtful post jco, and I tend to agree. I prefer the Carlsson RS stuff as well, and given that the Carlsson sideskirts look almost exactly like the AMG ones already on my car, I thought I could save some money by just buying the RS front bumper cover. However, one vendor I talked to said they only sell the RS pieces as an entire kit--for $4,500, and that's unpainted and uninstalled. The guy told me he "might" be able to get just the front bumper, but it would probably be around $2,400 by itself. Has anyone else found the RS kit available piecemeal at good prices?

Mach430, I would rank the MH-Dezent DTM kit second, and Lorinser last. Although I still think the AMG sideskirts that are on your car (I'm assuming) look better than the ones that come with either kit. I also simply don't like any of the Lorinser pieces.

I wish there was a way to put the Brabus lip on the bottom of my AMG front end, but apparently it only fits on the 320 bumper cover. I'm leaning toward trying to find an RS front bumper somewhere if possible and leaving everything else alone for now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't there only 8 original Carlsson RS kits ever made? If that's true, than every other kit produced would be a replica; not made by Carlsson. Who would pay $4500 for a replica? Give me an email, I'll help you get the kit, or just the front, for much less.

Hey, if you want to be unique, get the MH Dezent. No one has it. Plus you can get the hood and the quad exhaust if you like.

On another note, does that Urogear one look bad???? I didn't think so....

Hmmm. I wasn't aware there might be an issue about who was making the parts and just assumed they were made by Carlsson or someone it authorized to do it. If we're talking replica stuff, that raises more issues about quality, etc. and you're right, no way would a kit be worth that kind of money. Anyway, I'll drop you an e-mail and see what you can find out. Thanks.

No matter what, I'm getting the hood.

I hunted down the Urogear pics on one of their linked websites... Just not my style.

i agree. that dezent hood is bad ***! ive looked everywhere for the cl grill the first time i saw i cl. the cheezy mb looks like crap. however, to answer the controversy about the rs kit, tire rack is the official importer of Carlsson to the us. ( i know cuz i called them, and the prez sent me a catalogue ). i also think the dezent rear spoiler looks saawweet too. lorinser = rice boy look.

I was told a year ago when I ordered mine that the Carlsson RS kit was a limited run with only 12 kits made....they made the molds for tha RS60 concept car...and knocked out a few other copies....I got an original set...to my knowlege only three or maybe four made it to the US. There is that guy "Euroklasse" making copies...

The down side to the RS side skirts are #1 you had to glue them on...#2 they really add no aerodynamics and #3 you can't use the stock jack with them....I said why bother!...the AMG skirts are very nice and lined up beautifully with the RS. A warning: the RS kit is very low and quite brittle....it gets banged alot no matter how careful you are and so repairs are in order every so often.

In case anyone hasn't seen it...You can see pics of my set up in the CLK pic thread..

I don't think the Lorinser looks ricey. I just think it has a little more sytle to it. This coming from a guy that hates ricey stuff with a passion!

But, to each is own.
