Nice Complete PIctures With Brand New Headlights
I tried to take these pics before the sun went down. I got my bumper back on as well as the lower lip is now painted black to match it all. These lights are like a face lift for my car. I really like the look a lot.
Enjoy

Thanks BRO!!! I was starting to feel like a total loser with all the cheese comments lol. They honestly looked really good to me installed, well at least over the original ones that I had. These are a definite improvement though and I am glad to see them on the market..especially for the better price.

Looks real good, I almost bought a CLK430 a couple years back. that is the one thing I didnt feel the most about the car, well about alot of the benzes that all come from that era.
but I just got into a S500 and well it has the same highly diffused "CHEESE" headlights while I like the car,I drool over the look of the newer S500 with the projector, saw them on ebay, certainly will be a purchase I am planning to make later, I wonder if the OEM projector ones are a direct swap in.
by the way how is the output on those?? Ive heard a wide range of stories some good some bad, some get lucky and get awesome output even with HID kit.
but nonetheless a good looking upgrade

You can't see the Halos unless you turn off the headlights and leave the running lights on but even then the running lights drown out the Halos on the running light but then you can see the Halos on the main lights. If I really want the Halos to be seen I would have to take out the running light bulbs and just turn on the running lights and you'll be able to see all 4 Halos and doing this while I turn on the main lights would allow you to see the running light Halos but not the main light Halos. But if I take out the running light bulbs the sensors will tell me I have a bulb that is out.

Looks friggin' sick bro, like I said earlier, it flows MUCH better now and looks very clean and updated!
I wanted to ask, how did it fit? Went in just like OEM? I gotta check'em out upclose soon sometime bruh!

For those of you who want to use your original xenon setup, you can. Since the halogen bulb is h7, all you need is a h7 to d2s adapter sold on ebay. You can then use your stock d2r bulbs or change to d2s. But remember to glue the adapter onto the bulb so that the bulb won't move. You always want the return wire of the xenon bulb to face downwards. Use high-temp glue like jbweld.

CLKFAN, no prob.
If you plan on using your stock ballasts with aftermarket hid bulbs, you'll have to get amp connectors to connect your ballast to the bulbs. Your stock ballasts have connectors that will only work for d2s or d2r bulbs. You can either purchase the connectors on ebay or sites like hidplanet. Or you can modify the stock connectors to become amp plugs so it can connect to the aftermarket bulbs. The the amp plugs are highlighted by the red box on the bottom right.
Any ballast (aftermarket or stock) will be able to power up stock or aftermarket bulbs as long as both components are rated at 35W. You just need the right connector. If the bulb flickers using a stock ballst, either the connector is wired wrongly or the bulb sucks. Of course, if you are using 50 or 55W ballasts or bulbs, then it's a different story.
