Smile Dash/Windshield Cam

I put a dash cam (ATC-2K) in my CLK430.
It's made by Oregon Scientific.

This thing is really cool.

Here's a couple of pics of my ATC-2K installed in my CLK430.

That looks like a cool camera! I have a "helmet cam" that I use to tie into my video camera. It works really well at track days.

It records to a 2 GB SD card.

It will record 60 minutes in 640x480 resolution at 30fps.
At lower resolutions it could record I believe the manul said like 10-12 hours.

It takes only 2 AA batteries. They are supposed last for three hours of recording. So far I used it for about 2 hours total so far.

At only $100.00 this cam kicks ***.

Cool idea but, I'm curious why you want a dash cam though? Seems like it would get old watching your commute after having lived it...

Well you never know when the footage may come in handy.
Example:

My insurance company would appreciate some footage if some Jack A** pulled out in front of me.

Other youtube video examples.

Drivers now a day do what they want and it's good to have a little extra insurance just in case.

Safe driving people!
