I think it's about time to change out the OEM bulbs from the city lights on my HALO PROJECTORS.

And now i'm wondering if anyone knows where i can get some "HYPERWHITE" ones. Not like the yellowish ones that we have.

I'm looking for some that look like chrome. well... not really. i just don't want to buy the bulbs that have that blue shade to it.

To shorten things up. Here are some pics that i borrowed from another thread, hopefully this explains it all.

They will definitely come out, you just need to pull out the bulb and not twist it out like the others.

It's funny that you mentioned that. I just bought a set about an hour ago. i Just got home, when it gets a little darker, i'm gonna try 'em on.

Nothing won't come out on the dash right? Since they're LED's?

You will get an error UNLESS the LEDS came with resistors built in to them. If not then you can just buy some resistors and add them to the positive wire and it will increase the load and trick the system into thinking a normal bulb is there. The problem is that the LEDS are much more efficient than than a halogen.

I want the city light LEDS BAD!! I went to Autozone, Oreillys, and a couple other stores for some Superwhite LEDS but noone had any 194 LEDS!!

Mine look yellowish and do not mach the other lights well at all!!

Right now i'm still debating whether i should get the ones that you're talking about or keep these $25 PIAA LEDs which are throwing that "CHECK LAMP" error. The dude at AutoBacs said "Naw, they won't give errors." My ***! Damn fool. Made me spend $25.

But anyways...

Though it's throwing that error, they look EXTREMELY NICE! I'm saying this cause these LEDs are so small and BARELY PROJECT ANY LIGHT WHAT-SO-EVER, that it ENHANCES my HALOS / ANGEL EYES. it's like the LEDs aren't even there. Way better than those crappy yellowish ones.

Here are some pics, i just took them right now... tell me what you guys think...

I'm gonna need your honest opinions, cause if you guys think they look good, i'm just gonna end up buying some resistors to fix that "CHECK LAMP" bullsh*t.

If not, i'm gonna end up returning them and buy some SILVER CHROME halogen ones.

Check autolumination.com. That's where I'm going to order my interior bulbs for the white bulb look. I ordered from them before without any problems.

100 should do the job. When you buy resistors check the wattage on them as well and check the wattage on teh bulbs too.

194's will not fit in the socket, those are also 12 watt bulbs where as the factory "yellow" is like 6 watts. this will trigger the fault on the dashboard.

How do you like the lights? Im looking at getting the projector halo's also, but im worried about the quality of light when I transfer them back to xenons. Do they work well? any problems installing them or drawbacks to having them?

interior lights
this doesn't answer you headlight issue so FWIW. don't get the the trunk lincense plate led bulbs with the canbus chip from autolumination. the website says, and I quote "High Powered 5050 3 Chip SMT Leds - Outfitted with Canbus Bulb-Out Warning Cancellation Chip. Designed to eliminate "most" electronic bulb-out warnings in BMW, Mercedes, AUDI, VW, Volvo, and "most" others. they don't work. I'm not flaming the company. Tracy has been working with me but it ain't happenen with these canbus chip bulbs. You probably have to install resistors for the license plates or any other EXTERIOR bulbs. There is very little space to work in the trunk lid to do that. If you can, more power to you. None of the interior bulbs, bottom of your doors, vanity, glove box, and front and back interior lights should not throw a warning light when gone.

I can't really say much about the halo-projectors with the typical xenons. they should be okay. the reason i'm saying this is because before my halo-projectors arrived in the mail, i had a set of HID's waiting to be installed before-hand. so i never really experienced what it was like to have normal xenons. it does enhance the look of the car, and as most of the other users know, it has a slightly different light output as far as where the actual light is being directed. in other words, it has specific outline. you'll understand exactly what i mean if you turned on your lights and have the car parked in front of a wall. no problems installing them nor have i had any problems.
