My CLK Lowered with New Rims

Hi Guys,

Well, after a good few days of frustration trying to lower the car, I managed to hire the correct spring tool from a chap of the MBCLUB forum, cheers WONGL, god knows what I would of done without his help. Anyway, managed to lower the car on Eibach Sportline springs (approx 35-45mm drop) and managed to cut the spring pads down so the rear is almost zero and the front is probably equivalent to a #2 pad.

What she looks like now:-

Let me know what you guys think

nice choice of rims , but i think the rear wheels need to stick out a bit, spacers can do that

Cheers guys, I do agree (ahmed18881) the rear wheels could do with another 10mm of spacing. Just wondering if I can fit spacers on top of the 30mm hubcentric spacers I have fitted at the moment.

try them on, but be sure to have the longer bolts, if it rubs you need smaller ones, if not then ur ok

Look much better than the original set. BTW, has her majesty's Q-division done anything else to the car? Like your plate "MI6 ..."

Cheers again for the comments guys.

LOL!! Waiting for her majesty's permission to proceed with forthcoming modification plans. Priority is to sort out the rear wheels and space them out a bit more to fill the arches.

Looks cool.

Now you need some spacers for the rear wheels to be pushed out more. There is too much space.

Its really bugging me now about what option to go for in regards to spacers for the rear wheels. The wheels came complete with bolt on 30mm hubcentric spacers to make up the correct offset, as thats how RH wheels are are made. Just thinking if it would be safe to be putting on another
10mm spacer on top of the current 30mm spacers, I've heard that you can get wheel wobble at certain speeds, and also the safety factor is a concern. What you guys reckon would be the safest option???
