Rim Decision

Im trying to decide which rims to get and i have narrowed it down to two types. The TSW Bremma rim or the brabus replica rim. Which one do you guys like better and my only question about the Bremma rim is that the offset is 25mm so would i need a spacer? Thank you in advance.

I have a black clk 430

I like 'em both! You know the ones I went with, I can tell you that I'm thrilled with the rims I recently purchased. Ultimately it's your call...

Cheers & good luck with whatever one you go with - just post some pics after you're done installing 'em.

the 25mm offset will not work. you need to bring it out about 7-10mm, and it will fit perfectly!

I would personally go w/ the VI reps. I had a set on my previous 430 and it looked alright.

Dont you mean the opposite? A 25mm offset will stick out more than say 33mm.

you are correct. i don't know what i was thinking.....what i meant to say was that the ET+25 will be 7-10mm too aggressive. Just shave the pad down, and you'll be just fine!

Any rim will look good...I really really like the brabus style...BUT I cant stand its sooo common and every other MB out here in Socal has these rims, chrome, machined, 2 piece look, and so on....

I see knock offs good and bad, and finally decided to sell a set I had.

Just for me, I can tell a replica rim from a mile away...but again that style is great but its up to you..

I'm assuming you're talking about 19's? I have the Bremmas and really like them. The 25 offset info is not correct - where did you hear that? If you are looking at that eBay auction, ask them to validate the offsets or call a local wheel dealer like Discount Tire (that's where I got mine).

Good luck.

More details on "shaving the pad down", please! I'm thinking about putting SL AMG wheels on my ride but the offset is 25mm. Up front with an 8.5 inch rim it looks like it would stick out past the fender unless something is done. Time for a shave?

BTW the Brabus reps are nice, but have you noticed that MB is now selling a similar wheel on several of its models - even sometimes with the AMG brand. It you can't beat em, join em!

both those rims are as common as stock wheels at this point, not really 'custom' any more...
but to answer your question i would go with the brabus reps

the difference in weight between replicas and originals is really big, my 2 cents is go with an oem/original brand rim, but if thats out of reach go with the lighter one...
