motor mount question
Thanks...
the one's that are OEM will have part numbers starting with 208 ... ......
Now why doesn't the C43 show up as well . . . . . . .
Keep in mind, the left is the hardest one to do, so if they do that one in 1 hour, they should be able to do both in 1 1/4 hours. The left is a b itch(B ITCH) to get out of the cramped space down there, but the right side comes right out.
Also, if one mount is tore up, the other one is taking too much of a beating.
The 3rd(back, tranny) mount is probably ok, and it is very, very easy to do yourself with a floor jack and jack stands, and one size wrench.
I bought german made mounts for this car online(autoparts warehouse) for about 85 bucks a piece and it took me 2 hours to do it in my garage.
So expect to pay a mechanic shop about 110-125 for the mounts(each) and 1.5 hours at most. That would be reasonable for (maybe a)pro. If he's done it before, he could probably do it in less than half an hour.
375 ish.
I posted this to another motor mount question.
There are three mounts. Two front right and left, both are the same part, round in shape and are fluid filled. And one rear transmission mount, flat shape, rubber/metal sandwich.
I bought mine online at autopartswarehouse for much less than the dealer and they were German made, and matched up EXACTLY to the ones coming out of the car(original).
and apparently they want to charge for 3 hours of labor, so try to talk 'em down if you don't do it yourself
