CLK Dashboard Removal?
Can anyone tell me how to remove the dashboard on a W208 CLK? I would like to either refinish or replace mine. I am having no luck on the forums or searching google.

MarcusF I cant thank you enough! This looks like a heck of a lot of work. I may just refinish the dash but this can be my backup plan.

Why do you care?
If you're concerned about the legality of my using a document for which MB USA owns the copyright, you may want to review section 107 of the 1976 Copyright Act. That section discusses the "educational use" protection. Specifically, the use of works for teaching, scholarship, and research. I doubt it can be successfully argued that my freely supplying instructions as to "how to remove a dashboard" would be anything other than "teaching". Where I erred was in forgetting that information was on my site - you'll note the original post stated the doc would be on my site for six days. I have since removed the educational material which you found objectionable.
Those who come across this page because they want to remove their dash, should contact NismoPower. I'm sure he'll help without using pictures.

If you do find out post it up. I vaguely recollect a guy here posted something about it said the job was daunting. Myself I've had my dash out 2x. Once the dealer replaced it under warranty and they scratched the crap**** out of the left quarter panel putting the dash in. QP had to be repainted. Funny thing is they tried to give it back to me all scratched up saying nothing but it was sooo obvious that's what it was from. 2nd time needed to replace the heater core in dash ugh. Paid 1500 $ but the guys also scratched the **** out of my wonderful pristine door sills and the inside of the door threshold and jacked the passenger door end of the dash so it must be a ***** to do. I'm tempted to buy a junked out clk and take it apart for fun just to see how to do it...
