Is the Temperature Guage supposed to be slightly above middle?

My car only has 5000 miles on it, and I think it's overheating a bit. Can someone help me out? THanx.

Sounds normal. Unless it's in (or close to) the red, you should be fine. What temperature would you estimate it's at?

Thumbs up

Mine works between 80 and 100, depending on conditions.

Used to be a CLK430
I seem to be at a constant 83 degrees once the car warms up.

2000 CLK-430 - Sold
I've been a bit worried over the last week because I've noticed that my temperature gauge has been sitting around the 80 - 90 degrees celcius mark. I'de say around 85 degrees without running the air condition. Per this thread, it sounds perfectly normal. Just want to make sure others out there still agree. Thanks 2000 CLK
