just bought a 99 clk 430 amg (208)
looking for advice and help in lowering car and in buying wheels
type of springs to use.. don't know why but i'm seeing many people cutting after market springs..
wheels.. looking for a used set that someone maybe selling on here..
need to know what the best offset is to have the tire tucked nicely up in fender well.. wanting 19" staggered, something with a nice 3-3.5" lip in rear
if any one can help me answer some of these questions i would be much appreciated

I dont mean to sound like an *** but if you use the search feature it will answer most if not all of your lowering and wheel fitment questions.
As far as the rims go...go to the classifieds section and there are quite a few used sets for sale right now.

i paid 10,000 and it has 115,000 its that bright red color
the car is in perfect condition.. all stock and he just had the rims re-done as in re-cleared.. ill get some pic up soon

does it have AMG tuned engine, AMG brake kit, AMG steering wheel, etc etc.... NO? then it's not a AMG car. the previous onwer just put those part that you listed on, brother.
Man I never realised I had a AMG too.

need some info on exhaust mods... has anyone removed any cats or the resonator and left the stock muffler on?
and for the springs would you all recommend new or used?

Congrats on the new purchase!
New springs would be advised unless you know the used ones are coming from a reputable source in which case there should be nothing wrong with getting used.
The easiest exhaust mod would be to put a Magnaflow muffler on. Just that alone will sound great. Here's my 430 that I put a Magnaflow muffler on. I left the cats and resonator stock.

ya that sounds really good.. how much did it cost you for each muffler and does it make much of a difference in sound using one muffler or 2?
