Hi CLK gurus,

I was vacuuming the car earlier today and found that there are two wires floating under the driver's seat. It would appear that they used to join up to a clip and were either cut on purpose or somehow broke off from its soldering joints. Strangely enugh, all the electric functions, including the air pumps still work. There is another clip right next to it and that still has all the wires in place. So, I'm just wondering if any knows what these two brown cables do? Incidenatally, the passenger seat still has all the wires in place.

Many thanks in advance

Hi, pls see the photo of the plug with the detached cables as described. The two cables are taped up for the moment (in red electrical tape in the photo). I hope someone knows what this could be. If it's for the heated seats, I won't be soldering it back on. It doesn't get very cold in Sydney

Are you accepting guesses?

If so, I'm going to guess your seat height adjustment no longer works. Of course, I'm guessing based on a USA spec W208

The switch on your door should confirm what's really broken.

MarcusF, thanks for the diagram. I tried all the seat movement functions and they are all good. The chances are OpalW208 is right. I won't try to turn on the heating as yet, it's summer here in Sydney. I'll find out in about 4-5 months time.

Thanks again
