temp gauge?

so its a little warmer out and the gauge went above half just a little. is this normal. i have owned a few cars and they never went above half unless there was a problem looming in the near future.

what is the highest the gauge goes and is normal?

Mine has always been between a lilltle above half and a little below 3/4 depending on time of year and traffic. Even during winter, it still reads just above half at freeway speeds. Course that's west coast winters!

The center of the gauge is 80 degrees Celsius. Your thermostat is an 87 degree Celsius unit. In a nutshell, there's nothing to worry about.
