help, anyone had this prob. wit wipers....
sup guys, i been having this problem with my windshield wipers. for the last 2 weeks, everytime i turn on the car my wipers go on 1 time with them on the OFF position. but yesterday, they didnt want to stop after i turned car on. so while on way home they continued to be on. i played with the lever and moved it back from on to off positions and nothin. finally after 10min or so, they finally went off on their own. any1 had this prob. before? any idea how to fix without takin it to dealer? thanx

Well, for starters, there are 4 positions:
1) off
2) automatic (1 wipe followed by auto-speed based on sensor readouts)
3) normal
4) high
Could it be that nothing is wrong and you didn't know about the auto position?

yes i know about the auto position. but like i said, the wipers go on in the off position everytime i start my car. i checked the fuses and everthing is good. dam for some reason im thinkn this gna be an expensive fix....

I would unplug the wiper switch and see if the problem continues. If the problem stops . . . . . . although, without a wiper switch, the wiper motor may not get any power, making it pretty difficult to move . . . . . . . . . at any rate, the wiper switch for my car is part number 2105450110. It has a list price of $105 and can be had for $79 with an MBCA discount.
One small thing, *I think* 2105450110 is for 2000 and later CLK. You may want to quadruple check the part number for yours, because most dealers won't take an electrical part back.

I had the same problem....
Youve probably solved the problem by now, but I had the exact same issue, Wiper goes on everytime car is started and sometimes while driving... Stuck in rainsensor mode... its your wiper stalk.
I went to the stealership, had a new one installed... all is fine now...
