are smog checks an issue for you?
i thought about removing secondary cats but don't want to fail smog.

My car's registered in a county that doesn't require smog checks. :-D I don't know exactly how much the secondary cats do, but I'm thinking that since the O2 sensors are before them, it would probably still pass w/ the primary cats only.

sounds great... what did you do to the exhaust?.. i just had my secondary cats and resonator removed the other day. did you put a aftermarket muffler on there?.. would like it to be a touch louder though
Well, mine's a 55, so the resonator is bigger. Therefore taking the resonator off mine would make more difference on mine than yours. Also, I have an Eisenmann Race muffler. Throw on a magnaflow and you'll get a good bit of difference. The sound quality's pretty good too.

Don't quote me but I have heard you will still pass a smog test without secondary cats but you take a risk of failing a visual inspection if one is administered.Originally Posted by sfclk
